Hello everyone, Nicole here! Long time no write! What have we been up to? Well, the bums have found a new random occupation in addition to our repertoire of randomness. We are now professional GROUPIES - minus the sleeping with the band... for now *snicker* We've been following the bands Strawless Friday and Flying Ipis! phew! Who knew being a groupie could be such hard work? We show up in EVERY gig, cheer, hold their wallets, keep their petroleum jelly, wipe sweat off their foreheads (WHAT?!)
Earlier this day Ming Ming (Mae Ann's new nickname, baptized by Deng Garcia of flying ipis) played with Strawless Friday! She played the ukulele and sang for them for the Philippine version of the Discovery Channel jingle. So I guess she got promoted while I remain a groupie *sigh* Psshhhh here's Ming Ming, she'll tell you all about it.
Hey guys! So apparently this is what happens when you hang out with rockstars a little too much. They drag you into their musical pursuits! But wait! sidenote: How awesome is it that our lovely friend Show Suzuki wrote the new Discovery Channel jingle? The Busy Bums are extremely proud of him. EXTREMELY PROUD. *cries tears of joy* So anyway, Show found out that I kinda sorta-ish play the ukulele and he asked me to play with him for the press release! I fell in love with the song when I first heard it so I was so happy! :D Plus, if you know me, you'll know that me singing is completely random. I don't sing in front of the world (or anyone actually). HAHAHA
At the press release, Discovery Channel also released the new TVC featuring Filipino personalities such as Efren Penaflorida, Paolo Soler and the Philippine Dragon Boat Team. In collaboration with The Discovery Channel, Regatta unveiled their new The World Is Awesome T-shirt collection. Anywho, watch out for the hourly telecast of the video in Discovery Channel, this month or the next? But for those itching to be one of the firsts to hear it and be in the know, here's a draft of the jingle! Enjoy!
